Hi, I’m Margrete Lamond

I am a picture-book publisher, author, art director, researcher, blogger, academic writer, educator and some-time gallery curator.

In my 20 years as a publisher, I have helped launch the successful careers of countless new illustrators, and have published numerous award-winning and internationally successful picture books with both multi-national and independent publishing houses.

I have also complemented my work as a picture-book art-director with post-graduate research into the science of vision and emotion, which led me to design this unique approach to picture-book illustration. 

Now my mission is to inspire illustrators to discover the secrets that will help them attain their grandest dreams.
